FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! IT'S JUST A COMIC, PEOPLE! PLEASE READ THIS! Due to a combination of many factors in my personal life (School, Work, artist's block and lack of scanner) have led to there being a delay in page seven. THERE IS A SEVENTH PAGE! Chibi-gourd is back because once again I didn't draw the dumb gourd. But I actually had a reason for it this time around. Drawing the gourd would have blocked Sakura from view, and we can't have that can we? I also realized that I'd been forgetting Gaara's kanji for vertually the entire comic. My bad, it's back in now. I actually like this page. And before ANYONE asks me "Why didn't Gaara just use his sand?" He's about to enter a competition. He doesn't want to go around revealing his abilities, now does he?

“Wait!” Naruto was after her instantly, moving to grab hold of her arm in some sort of halting measure in order to keep her from walking away from them again. Naruto’s fingers didn’t even get the chance to brush against the flesh of her arm before his wrist was caught in a vice like grip. Fingers held tight and firm, bruising in the fierceness of the grasp.

Startled blue eyes turned to clash violently with glaring green as the redheaded sandnin tightened his grip further. Naruto spluttered indignantly before turning his wide eyes to Sakura.

“Sakura-chan, what?”

“Do not address her. Do not touch her. It is advisable that you mind your distance from your betters.”

It was the most he’d heard the strange nin speak since they met a few days ago. Furthermore, he remembered that meeting. He remembered that the redhead, Gaara, had paid attention to Sasuke, had hardly glanced at Naruto. But Sakura… he hadn’t even noticed her existence; she’d been completely beneath his radar. He also remembered that Gaara had not been beneath Sakura’s. She’d been petrified the moment she’d seen him and Naruto knew it. So why was she now clinging to him? It made no sense.
